Perhaps my biggest disappointment of the year, Bridge of Spies, has somehow nabbed one of the coveted eight Best Picture Oscar nominations. Though this film was hardly recognized in other award ceremony, it has proven itself worthy to The Academy. Bridge of Spies has garnered nominations in categories such as Production Design, Sound Mixing, Best Original Score, Best Original Screenplay, and Best Supporting Actor (Mark Rylance). However, even after all this recognition, it has missed out on nominations for Best Actor (Tom Hanks) and Best Director (Steven Spielberg).
